What should I wear?
Bring a couple of different outfits to your shoot. Just keep in mind that bright, solid colors work the best. Try to avoid white. If you’re doing an e-session or family session you don’t have to get too matchy matchy but coordinating colors look best. If you are doing a family session I usually recommend mom to pick out an outfit that you look great in and then dress everyone around you. Also, bring any funky accessories (sunglasses, purses, jewelry, shoes, or scarves) you may have. These are a great way to let your personality shine through and add a fun element to your images. Where will my session be?
I do all shoots on location. At your home or on a location of your choice. I try to make locations reflective of you. Newborn sessions will be held in your home.
What if I’m late?
I understand that things happen that may not allow you to arrive on time. I do encourage you to do your best to arrive on schedule. Sessions are scheduled at the time of day that allow for the best light. Usually, that light will only last for the time of your session. So if you’re late to your session, it just means that I will have less time to take photos. Which means that I will take fewer photos and you will receive fewer photos in your gallery.
How long until my images are ready?
It usually takes any where between 2-3 weeks (usually much sooner) before your images are ready for viewing. I usually blog my favorite shots from your shoot a few days after so keep an eye out!
What time will my session be?
Sessions are held either in the morning or evening to make use of the best available light! If small children are involved we will work around a schedule that works best for them.
When should I do my maternity photos?
I usually try to schedule maternity sessions in the 3rd trimester so your belly is nice and round
How do I schedule a newborn session if I don’t know for sure when he/she will be born?
Easy! Just let me know your due date and I will mark a tentative date on my calendar. Please call as quickly as possible after your little one is born to schedule a session. Newborn sessions must be held within the first two weeks of life.
Can you photograph my child’s birthday party?
At this time I am not offering event photography. Sorry!
How long will my images be online?
Images are posted to an online gallery for 14 days. After 14 days there will be a $20 charge to have them re-uploaded.
Can I scan and print my images? Or just copy them from my online gallery for printing?
No, I am sorry
A word about copyright. US Federal Copyright Law protects copyrighted images. It is unlawful to copy, scan or print any of my images without my express permission. Even though the photos may be of you or your family, I still own the copyright to the image and it may not be reproduced with my permission.
Will you travel and what are your traveling fees?
The answer is yes! I will. Traveling fees include hotel and gas and/or flight money.
What if I get sick or it rains?
If you need to reschedule due to illness I will completely understand. Please give me a call asap though! If the weather doesn’t cooperate we will reschedule as well.
