I realize I have been MIA this last month or so, but for good reason! This post has been a long time in the making. Every time I sit down to write it’s feeding time again!

So, we were totally not expecting our little man to make his arrival almost 2 weeks early but he arrived on October 14 (my sis’ birthday!). I had been having pretty bad swelling in my feet and legs the last couple months of my pregnancy but the doctor said it was nothing to worry about. Then on the night before Hudson’s birth the swelling seemed to be a little worse and I had a headache (signs of preeclampsia). I was worried so I made my hubby drive me to Wal-Mart to take my blood pressure. It was extremely high so we booked it to the hospital! They said I’d have to stay the night for observation but it still never crossed our minds that our little buddy would be coming so soon. The next day I woke up with blurred vision and was still having really high blood pressure so my doctor made the decision that I would have to have a c-section. I burst into tears right then. It seriously never crossed my mind that I would have to have a c-section. Those childbirth classes were useless! So Hudson was delivered at 9:19 that morning. I ended up having to stay in the hospital for an entire week because my blood pressure refused to go down. It was a stressful time let me tell ya!

Then to top it off once we got Hudson home he started to have problems keeping down his feedings. It turns out he had a condition called pyloric stenosis. It’s where the muscle at the bottom of the stomach is too thick so food can’t pass through to be digested. The food had no where to go but back out! Poor guy! The only way to fix the condition is with surgery. So after only 3 short weeks of life Hudson had his first (and hopefully only!) surgery. He made it through ok and is now doing great!!

Now what you’ve all been waiting for! Isn’t he just the cutest little baby you have ever seen? I think so!!

And my absolute fave! That sweet little grin gets me every time!

Look who I got to play with today! Meet Baby Avery (aka Hudson’s future girlfriend!). She slept so good for me up until it was time to take pictures with mom and dad. She is such a cutie pie. And how can you not love that head full of hair?!

Well, as you can see, I’ve been slacking a little on this lil ole blog. But for a good reason! I’ve been really tired lately and not really up for any extra curricular activites. Lol! Take for instance last night. I got home from work, had a little dinner, and went straight to bed. And slept through the whole night! 12 hours! So not like me.

Here’s why:

That’s right! We are having a wee one! Blueberry as we call him/her. And we couldn’t be more excited. So please bare with me if the blog is a little neglected for a little while. I’ll try to get back on track asap! Be on the look out for a bridal session to be posted soon. Saturday to be exact. Jessica is getting married this weekend, I’ve been waiting patiently to post this session and can’t wait to share!!!

This weekend I “tried” to take some pics of my beautiful new niece. She, on the other hand, had other plans. I love getting those sleepy newborn shots but Miss Rylee would have no part of it. As soon as I would lay her down those eyes would pop right open and they would stay open. Wide awake! Aren’t newborns supposed to sleep all the time?! I’m telling you I spent 4-5 hours on Saturday waiting for her to give in. Nope, not Rylee. She’s a little party girl.

Welcome my new niece little Rylee Taylor to the blog! I’m sure you will be seeing lots more of her. She graced us with her presence today at 1:08 pm. 6lbs 8oz and 19 1/2 in long. Isn’t she gorgeous?! What a proud aunt I am!

Another newborn session! Everyone is having babies right now it seems!

I met Miss Taylor at her house yesterday. She is such a sweet little girl! And boy, was she wide awake during our session. She finally gave in towards the end of the shoot though. Thanks again J, congrats on your wee one. She is adorable!

So yesterday I traveled 4.5 hours to MO to meet this lil guy. He surprised mom and dad by arriving 5 weeks early! He was so worth the drive though. Just look at how handsome he is! These images make him look much bigger than he really is. He was so teeny tiny! Tenaya and Casey, congrats on your lil man! I can’t wait to see him grow. I miss you guys already!

I just love this new cocoon wrap. And CJ loved it too. He was so warm and snuggly in it.

This past weekend I got to spend some time with this sweet little newborn. She ALMOST makes me want one. Almost…. She has got to be the cutest baby ever though. We took some shots, I had a feeding break, we took some more shots, she had a feeding break, then tried to take some more shots. But Miss Averi didn’t want any part of it. So we’ll probably be doing another shoot sometime soon. Lol!
