Happy Wednesday everyone!

blah…

I just feel so very blah today. Don’t know why…
I feel like I have been neglecting my blog the past few days. I had 2 awesome shoots over the weekend but I’m not able to blog either one
Saturday I had a boudoir session with Mrs. S. Boy did she work it! Ladies, boudoir sessions are great to give as a gift to your man! And they are so fun! Then on Sunday I had a bridal session with Miss Mandy. I will be blogging these in a week or so after her wedding. So be on the look out because I can’t wait to share them with you all. Mandy makes such a gorgeous bride, and she was workin’ it too! I can’t wait for the wedding girl!
This weekend I have no shoots scheduled! Imagine that. I weekend free all to myself! I will be catching up on lots of editing. Anyone up for an impromptu photo session?!

Take a look at this quick slideshow I made for Brandi and Parker’s E-session! Aren’t they so stinkin’ cute together?!
Eta: I just received some really awesome news today! And I’m super excited. This means big changes coming for my little family! Whoo hoo! More details later…

“It’s weird that photographers spend years or even a whole lifetime, trying to capture moments that added together, don’t even amount to a couple of hours.”

I’ve been tagged by the awesome Ryel!
Here’s the rules:
1. Link the person who tagged you.
2. Mention the rules in your blog.
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours.
4. Tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged.
My quirks:
1. My mom says when I was little I used to eat ketchup on everything. And I do mean everything! Until one day I wanted to try it on a chocolate chip cookie. She said no more ketchup after that. I rarely touch ketchup anymore, except for burgers and fries.
2. I have gray hair. I know! I’m too young for gray hair! But thanks to my dad’s hawaiian heritage it’s true. It started in high school I guess. I used to just pull them out. Actually, I had a friend that loved to pick them out for me. We had a weird relationship like that. The old wives tale is true. Pull one out and 2 more grow back in it’s place. You won’t see me doing that any more. I just use hair dye now.
3. It drives me insane to leave the lights on in a room if someone isn’t in there! And my husband has a nasty habit of doing that. You should see me run around the house chasing after him turning off the lights. It’s ridiculous!
4. I have an obsessive habit of checking my email. If I’m sitting at my computer I will check my email a kazillion times. I may have just checked it 5 minutes ago but I’ll still check it again. Heaven forbid I miss reading an email before I go to bed!
5. I love me some sour cream. I’ll eat it on just about anything. It’s a must have for baked potatoes, gotta have it with hamburger helper, I’ve even been know to dip my chips in it. Yummy.
6. I’m a super quiet chick. Not because I’m shy (though I am a little), I’m just quiet! People comment all the time on this. Yes, I already know! I tend to be more of a listener. I guess that’s why I surround myself with loud mouths. Lol!

my weenie pups.

The Dachshund is a dynamic and affectionate breed. They are bold, proud and can be quite tenacious at times. They enjoy the outdoors and love to dig. They like to bark and are mischievous little dogs. Dachshunds are an extremely devoted breed and make wonderful family pets.
I’ve never really been a pet person until I surprised my husband with a weenie pup for his 26th birthday. He used to tell me how much he wanted a weenie dog but was never “allowed” to have one. So while he was away at the beach the summer before we got married, I searched Petfinder with a mission. I had to find the perfect weenie dog fit for my soon to be hubby. That’s when I saw him. It was the fluffy, curly ears that got me. How could I say no to those big, black eyes staring back at me through the computer screen? So I filled out the adoption questionnaire right then. I anxiously awaited the answer to my email, would we be fit parents for this sweet little baby?
Well, that sweet, lil, curly earred pup won me over. I almost didn’t want to hand him over to Eric when he came home from the beach a couple of weeks later. It must have been the way he would roll over on his back to hint that he wanted his belly rubbed. Or maybe it was the puppy breath…

This is going to be a quick post. I just had to share a few shots I took yesterday of my hubby.

Brandi and Parker are true high school sweethearts! How awesome is that? They first met about 5 years ago at a basketball game that Brandi was cheering at. These two are so fun and Parker keeps Brandi laughing. We had a great session yesterday! We went downtown for a few shots then headed back to their hometown to where else but their high school.
Thanks you two! Enjoy your sneak peeks.

“I just think it’s important to be direct and honest with people about why you’re photographing them and what you’re doing. After all, you are taking some of their soul.”

My mom second shot with me for Heidi and Jon’s wedding last Saturday. What kind of photographers would we be if we didn’t get any self portraits or embarrasing shots of each other?
This is my mom:

And her in action:

A shot she snuck of me:

We so rock at self portraits!

Not!
Thanks mom for inspiring me to get into this photography biz!
